Has anyone ever found carob to be a trigger? I'm talking vegan carob, naturally sweetened, totally organic. I miss chocolate and I love carob so I was wondering if that was safe.

Carob and chocolate are both high in fat. Carob does not contain sugar or caffeine. Solid carob is listed as a trigger but powder carob is given as safe.

I have a sensitivity to cocoa and chocolate, so I substitute carob powder for cocoa in cooking. It's fine for me and satisfies my chocolate craving. But since started the EFI diet, I have stopped eating carob bars, as all the brands available round here are high in fat.
