Aloe Vera... confused???

I had previosly posted a question about Aloe Vera gel. Someone said it causes problems and I was wondering if you could expand on that. I have been taking it for a few weeks now and while I'm not great my flare ups seem to be milder. Could you explain why it's not good????

It's considered a stimulant laxative, and the problem with stimulants is that your colon can become dependent on them. Yes, you feel better now, but in the long run, you're setting yourself up for bigger problems - there's a strong possibility that your colon just won't function at all anymore.

I am taking that along with Miralax. My problem is if I even drop my dose of Miralax I stop going. I have not been able to find the in between from C to D. As soon as things start to back up the pain kicks back in. I have gone to a specialist and he told me to take the Miralax and deal with, needless to say I won't go back to him but I am becoming so frustrated and miserable I don't know what to do at this point.
