I made Heather's Turkey club sandwich, from her DVD, and now my BMs are poor and I have a lot of gas and bloating!!!!!!!

I also have incorporated Soy Yogurt (Wholesoy and company) as a snack; as well as Lil Soy Dreamers.

Everything is IBS safe, but I am miserable. Could it be that my body is adjusting to the diet change?

I take three tablespoons of Acacia per day (have been for the past year) and try to eat IBS safe foods.

What do you guys think?

Hi LittleFox,
Sorry to hear how miserable the bloat and gas is making you, I can relate! Possibly it is the Soy products doing it to you, Soy can cause major gas for many of us, I'm one. Maybe you should include it more gradually, just very small portions and see what happens. The Acacia fiber gave me major bloat,gas and "C" I had to stop taking it,I was only up to 1 1/2 tsp twice a day, you are fortunate you can tolerate the amount you take OK. What kind of turkey did you use, if there are preservatives in it they can disagree with us IBS'ers? Feel better.

I used turkey with no antibiotics, vegetarian fed, no nitrates or MSG. I got it at Trader Joe's. There is no other Health food Store in my area.

I eat the trader Joes turkey all the time and no problems, the soy however might be doing it, I can only handle a little soy at a time, or cramps bloating and D will happen (I'm ussually a C) Good luck, remember it's all trial an error I still have a lot of bad days myself so I sympathize

Soy products can really cause a lot of gas/bloating problems if you're not used to it. I don't know how quickly you jumped into eating soy, but I'm still betting that's the problem - not the turkey. It might just be a matter of your body adjusting, or you might not be able to tolerate soy at all. The only way you'll know is to cut back the soy intake a little, but keep eating it daily, and see how you do after a couple weeks... or decide it's not worth the trouble and cut the soy out completely.

All the experimenting is a pain sometimes, eh?

Were you having these problems when you were just taking Acacia without the soy foods? Acacia doesn't agree with everyone. Soy is nasty for me too.

I agree about the soy and the acacia. Both cause problems for me.
