I am IBS_C on my period and I have diarrhea, this hasn't happened before.. I've had very soft stools before. What should I do. Eat some more IF? I've been eating Luna bars, rice milk, honeycomb cereal, heather's recipe with blueberries and oatmeal annd brown sugar you put in the microwave, forgot name. Shoulld I eat some minute rice, some spinach, I have a papaya from belize...french bread, should I drink some peppermint/fennel or will that make it worse? I have to work soon...Mcdonalds is a really bad place to have to rush to the bathroom.

If you have d, definitely do not eat more IF. Have more SF like crackers, white rice. I would have the oatmeal but skip the berries. If you have to go to work, I would keep your diet bland for now...similar to the break the cycle diet to keep your system calm. You might have gotten a stomach bug or maybe the d is just from your period. You could take immodium but if it is a virus, you "want" the bad bacteria to come out so you don't want to completely stop things up. Feel better.

thank you, that helps. Before I saw youre reply I went nuts and at corn chips,a peppermint luna bar, honey comb cereal. Now I get little tinny soft drops. Before I had not sure if it was really diarrea,Felt like I had to go to the bathroom right away, kinda runny and small pencil thin stools.

Peppermint tea does not cause D. Since you're going to work, it's probably better to take an Imodium.
