This is totally embarrassing, but then again, this is the message board for embarrassing topics!!!
My question is: has anyone dealt with major gas cramping in the lower guts? (LLQ and LRQ) Also, (this is gross) has anyone ever farted out any mucus? Since my bad bout with enjoying too much ice and cheese last week, I have had some major cramping and toilet issues. Please let me know your thoughts. They are VERY appreciated.

That's a normal situation for an IBS-C like me. I've learned the fun term for that is "sharting" since you are sh____ and farting at the same time. I've started with the acacia and finally do not have any mucus showing up any more. The mucus is trying to lubricate the intestine so the stool will slide. It doesn't work real well though if you are C a lot.

Catnut IBS-C for many years, finally diagnosed in 2005. Wheat and dairy sensative.
