Have been looking for products using stevia instead of artifical. Found a soda called Steaz. A green tea bassed soda that uses stevia in their diet versions. Shouldn't have the carbinations but it's good to see something out there. Has anyone seen other products?

I haven't looked specifically for Stevia added products, but I do make my own lemonade with liquid Stevia added to powdered lemon and water. Not bad once you get used to it.

I hadn't noticed steaz had stevia. We have that at our store. There are also little dropper bottles of flavored stevia but they are very expensive. More people are asking for stevia and so we put some by the other artificial sugars. I hope the FDA doesn't find out we are marketing it as a sugar replacement!

Do you know what is in stevia as a replacement for both Sugar and Artificial Sugar? Is there any form of real sugar being used?

Stevia is a plant. It comes in a few forms. White powder, white powder with fiber, liquid and a green powder that is just the plant ground up.
It is basicly glycosides that give it the sweetness. They say it has 0 calories and 0 glycemic index. You can check out the site and look through the FAQ.

I've grown the stevia plant. It is extremely sweet! even a little leaf is. So as sugar subs go it is very, very safe- about like eating basil.
