Hi guys,
Wow - it's been a while since I've been here!
I've continued my trek thru the medical system with this GI discomfort & aching/fatigue, and landed in a Naturopathic Doctor's office yesterday.
Among other things she told me to do ($$$$!!), she "prescribed" an anti-inflammatory diet for me. Gave me a printout which wasn't as clear as my Type-A/OCD/very visual self would have liked & I ended up wandering aimlessly among the aisles of Whole Foods last night!
Does anyone know of a place to find a VERY CLEAR list of the foods I CAN have on this diet?? Or just a nice, organized list of foods to take & also should avoid?
I've done a web search, but I'm picking up tons of books on the diet - not a lot of actual food lists.
Thanks!

Try the following: Harvard Medical School Wellness Net And you can buy Dr. Weil anti-inflammatory diet guide which you have to pay for.

Howdy,
I have IBS-C and started the IBS diet 2 years ago but still had pain, joint aches, fatigue and the like. I got rid of any type of wheat and eat almost a total celiac diet now. My brain fog cleared as did the aches and much of the gut pain. Acacia has taken care of the rest of the issue in the last 2 weeks. Wheat is known to cause such issues and could be a simple cause for the inflammation to begin with. It's another idea and we IBS'ers are always looking for another idea for help. Heather and Bette Hagman (the gluten free gourmet) have been my saving grace.

Just saw that you are IBS-C. In reference to my other post about Lexapro, it really helped with my d b/c it made me more on the c side. Just wanted to be sure I clarified that since I don't think getting more c is what you want.

Thanks,
I read something on that in another post so I figured it wasn't for me. The acacia is doing wonders so getting off of Zelnorm was a good thing for me. The Zoloft will have to wait till menopause hits and maybe not even then.

Northern KY where the airport is. Where are you?
How do you make the persons name come up under the thread like you did? I haven't figured out all the buttons and what they do yet.

After you hit reply, just go up to the subject line and change the subject to what you want it to be. I'm in Elizabethtown, about 50 miles south of Louisville.
