Gas near the navel

Has anyone every experienced a sense of trapped gas to the left of their navel? I sometimes get tightness there, too, but heat therapy seems to help. I would really appreciate any responses.

Whew!!
I thought it was just me! I have been mostly IBS-D since late 90's but after the holidays this year suddenly I have that horrible pain (kinda like a toothache)right 2 the left of my navel as well, is that what it is gas? Xrays, etc don't show anything abnormal in bowels so maybe...anybody?

I serioulsy thought I had a tumor in there the pain was so bad before I was totally diagnosed with IBS...and then I started the diet and it helped. However, yes, left side pain and around the naval is very common for me and well, I don't know what to do about it, except just keep on doing what you can for all good overall health. Follow the diet and sleep well...laugh at people who make you mad and go on! It has helped me,
