How come most of the foods that I eat that are on the "safe" soluble fiber list do not have any fiber listed on the nutrition label?...e.g. pasta, rice, crackers, rice cakes, certain cereals. Just wondering. Because I'm using these as my buffer foods right now. Thanks!

Most labels don't list soluble fiber at all. Some will list the total insoluble fiber, or a mixture of the two.
The best way to know if something is soluble fiber safe is to read the ingredients. Anything saying 'whole' 'grain' 'bran' is most likely insoluble fiber. 'wheat flour' 'rice flour' etc are safe soluble fibers.

I actually asked this question last week and sometimes companies break it down into soluble/insoluble fiber on the label and to complicate matters sometimes they only list insoluble fiber content. Still rest assured that white rice and white bread and other white grains contain soluble fiber that will provide a safe cushion for your stomach.
