I can tell you that when I drink a lot with meals, I get bloated and gassy more so than when I don't. For me, it's a rule I live by, I don't even have a drink with my meal. I sip on water all day and manage to get 6-8 cups at least, and that's without drinking with a meal. Highly recommended!

Wow...that is sooo interesting. Has anyone else found that they get more gas/bloating when drinking a lot with meals too? Oh... I am really going to have to try it...but it will be such a tough challenge for me. I take so many drinks of water while eating. I sort of have a fettish for "washing down each bite." I have even commented in the past on how my husband eats almost his whole meal and then has his drink last. If I am at a restaurant, I won't even start eating until I get my drink b/c I feel like everything is too dry. This is going to be a tough one but I'm curious to see if there is a difference. Interestingly enough, I don't drink water with breakfast, but I do sip my soyfee and I don't get any gas. Does it matter if you drink say 1/2 glass of water right before the meal, then eat, then 1/2 glass right after the meal? Or does it need to be eating solely with no water. Or would smaller sips be okay just to quench my thirst? Thanks for the heads up!

Maybe try having soup with your meal? Or instead of having a full glass in front of you, just have half a glass and maybe you'll drink less during the meal.
I usually drink water in sips all day, the only time I have 1/2 or full glass is before bed. I'm not sure if the 1/2 before meal, 1/2 after would work, but it's worth a try. Just try to drink small amounts often, just like you eat small amounts often. Drinking too much too fast can build up gas (we actually swallow air when we drink).
