Do these cause bloating for most people? Anyone have experience with either?

I thought I needed them for the C, but now wonder if they are making bloat worse.

If so, how much a day? I don't know if it's helping or hurting the C or causing cramps/gas.

Any other C folks have experiences to share?

Thanks everyone.

I don't know anything bout miralex but I have used ground flaxseed for quite a few years - I do not think it causes bloat and as a matter of fact it is supposed to help relieve bloat - farmers used if for years with even their cattle if the cattle ate too much wet grass and was getting bloated - they made up a mixture of ground flax and water - it turns thic and slimy and the cows slurp it up - if you let ground flax sit in water you will see it becomes like a mucilage - I take about 1 tbsp. per day or sometimes more. I mix it with water and just drink it down after my oatmeal or I mix it in my oatemal - put ground flax on pasta and diced avacado - I even mix it with my acacia poweder sometimes. Debbie IBS-C I think it is good for IBS-C not sure about IBS-D

I have flax seeds in my oatmeal (Nature's Path Flax n' Oats) some mornings. Usually I have this after I've taken too much Imodium the day before and gotten C. I never get any bloating from it, and find it very gentle. I'm quite prone to bloating, my attacks always start with bloating as the first symptom. And as an IBS-D I can say the flax is surprisingly gentle compared to other whole grains. I've never had pain or loose BMs from it.

Although I'm using much more than you. I use 2 whole Tablespoons a day.
