If so, does the pepermint help or hurt you? (good for IBS, bad for Hernia!) My Dr has ruled out almost everything-I've had all the tests, so I think my diagnoses will be IBS with diherrea. I have all of heather's books and am thinking of starting her diet. Any suggestions/help?? And a lot of foods bother both the IBS and the HH. I just got prescribed Periett (an acid reducer) for the HH. But I live on peppermint tea and caps. It doesn't (ODDLY) bother my HH. I'm more bothered by peanut butter, bananas, tomato sauce, etc. And I can't eat anything spicy. Be sure to get a full diagnosis! I drink fennel tea instead. I also cannot have juice, the only one I drink is cran rasp and I have drink it on a full stomach and water it down. I am on Pariet, the same as Toady and it has been working great for me. Ihave to get back to my Dr to find out just how bad the HH is. I started Prilosec, but stomach pain still happening. I think they are going to diagnose me with IBS-D...on Lomotil for the diarrhea b/c it was so bad. All tests are negative for crohn's, celiac, etc. Frustrating trying to figure out what its NOT...!!
