We are taking a once in a life time trip to Uruguay South America from Miami. Any hints about dealing with a nine hour flight? The Airline has Vegan food or non dairy food. What would be better? Thanks in advance. PS I'm shipping my Acacia and Fennel Tea ahead so I will have it there when I arrive.

Well, I have been on a bunch of 8+ hour flights (from US to Europe) and generally you ar not very hungry on the plane. I usually take pretsels and crackers and eat that. They allow things like that in carry on luggage, and they will give you water in the plane.
I would not risk eating any of the stuff they give on the plane... it sucks in terms of taste anyway. It is also usually very high in fat, even if it is dairy free.

Thanks. We are going fist class(award miles I never used)so I will probably bring some of those light snacks. The menus look good as far as dairy free or gluten free, but why chance it. The flight is an all nighter so I would usually be sleeping then, not eating.

You can also bring tea bags with you...they'll give you hot water on the plane.

Thanks Melissa, Just ordered two cans of Fennel for the trip and the Hypnosis CDs. It will help fill the time.
