Most artificial sweetners really make me go to the loo, and Splenda is one of the worst for me. I use honey as sweetner instead.

There are some good people here with lots of information. Are you a "d" or "c"?

I wouldn't if I were you..I have had it for awhile and even spenda causes spasms. It has artificial stuff in it...better to use the real thing hun! But with all the healthy other stuff we have to eat, I wouldn't worry about real sugar!

No, but you can use Stevia. It's another sweetener, although it is not particularly artificial

Sucralose, aspartame, sorbitol and the like are IBS triggers.

I can't tollerate sucralose (haven't tried aspartame, it's so bad for you anyway), which is Splenda, and I am a C.

I believe that Dr. Oz (who has been on Oprah and did that You on a Diet Book) said that Stevia might not be safe. I am not saying not to use it but just look into it.

I know that I cannot eat anything that is "sugar free" like fudge pops or ice cream..I get the WORSE stomach cramps that won't go away. I stay away from all those subsitutes for that reason.

What does he say about stevia?? I use this every day...lots in my teas.

Does it cause GI problems?

Yeah, I want to know too. I use stevia too (well, not in tea, but in baked stuff)

Did they finally do a real study about it?
