Yeah, I had a bad experience with Pacific Foods almond milk while pregnant. The smell made me vomit, with an already present distaste for almond milk and horrid morning sickness. I wouldn't dream of trying it again.

Hey guys, thanks for all the comments. I just started using Rice Dream vanilla, and it seems to be giving no negative side effects. Soy sauce seems to be ok. Has anyone one found a Rice version of ice cream?
Also, I seem to have an ok time with moderate amounts of sourdough bread but regular pasta is not working. Are there blood test to take that can confirm problems with wheat?

Hi Dave,
Yes, there are blood tests that can be done to check for Celiac disease and stool tests that can check the rate your body breaks down food. Celiac disease is a disorder triggered by many proteins (Gluten) found in wheat and other grains. I would like to suggest you "Google" it to learn more and of course check with your physician to get accurate information. In this "gastro" world many conditions go mis-diagnosed so it's always best to be your own health advocate. Do your own research, talk to your doctor and have the necessary medical tests done to investigate what is truly going on for you.
You will find that what triggers one person's gut may or may not trigger another's. Keep a food journal that records any adverse reactions or the welcomed "happy tummy days" as well.
By the way, soy milk is a killer for me alone or with cereal. I can make a smoothie with it though. See, perfect evidence that each of our tummy's are uniquely ours to learn about
Oh yeah, they do make rice ice cream...the name isn't coming to me at the moment but I'm sure your local health food store will be able to help you out.
Best of luck to you and remember you are not alone in this journey.
Take good care, Alicia

the rice dream is ok, there are also these rice creams made in celestial seasonings tea flavours, you can try those, or there is is hemp ice cream, i hear good things about that. Also sorbet is always a good deal, no fat, great taste but not creamy or ice cream like.

Again, Thanks for your advice. So most Sorbets are OK?

Just be sure to take a quick look at the label. Usually if it says sorbet, not sherbet, it's ok. I believe coconut is off-limits in all forms, but just in case you decide to try coconut sorbet, some brands have milk in them. I have found that peach sorbet is the creamiest and more ice cream-like in texture. My milk-allergic 4yr old son really like raspberry with Hershey chocolate sauce (also has no milk and fat-free, but haven't tried it since my IBS diagnosis).

Soy milk and tofu products give me painful trapped gas and bloating. The gas will jumpstart my D; I stay away from soy.
