Digestive Enzymes and beano together?

Is this overkill? I always take a digestive enzyme with foods (don't know if it helps or not) but whenever I eat beans, I also add a few beano. Do others do this? Is it necessary?

Thanks...as always!

I do. I've wondered the same thing though...is it really necessary? But then, I figure better safe than sorry! Maybe one day I'll get a wild streak in me and try it without the beano!

Check the breakdown on your bottle of enzymes. Alpha-galactosidase is the enzyme in Beano and some higher end digestive enzymes contain it as well. The one I use, GasStop from RenewLife, actually contains 3 times as much of it in one capsule as a single Beano tablet, and costs about the same per.
