Hi All - I definitely have IBS D and have been trying to find a way to satisfy my coffee cravings ... I've tried an herbal coffee Tecino (not too great) and I've tried Postum which is OK, does anyone have any other suggestions? I really miss my coffee~

If you do a search for "coffee" at the top of the page over the last few months, you will see some threads about replacements. I drink Soyfee and I say lots about loving it in my posts (and I am not an easy to please person when it comes to food/taste). Soyfee French Vanilla is what I get off soyfee.com (a little expensive). You can email them and ask if a Heath Food store around you sells it to avoid shipping costs. I can empathize. I finally moved about two minutes from a Dunkin Donuts (drive through!) and I decided to give up coffee. Surprisingly it is the one thing that I have NEVER cheated on not even a sip. I am d too but what I am more afraid of is becoming used to the caffeine again and then going through withdrawal (which lasted about a week.) Good luck. I hope you find something you like. (Rocomojo has a website too but I never tried it and they never responded to my emails about sending samples).

I have been a major coffee drinker for the last 14 years. I took the month of December to "de-caffeinate" and have turned to herbal tea as a "substitute". Do you like herbal tea? I have found that I like the lipton herbal teas as well as the "Stash" brand but do not like Celestial Seasonings at all.
Having found a substitute, I no longer crave coffee except on rainy days!

I do miss coffee and it still get me up in the morning when my husband makes it. For the last year or so I have accumulated such a variety of teas in my pantry. Vanilla Chai, Rooibos Chai, Celestial seasonings holiday flavors and dessert teas. I have them all and I love them with cream. Give it a try.

In addition to coffee not being good for your tummy, did you know that coffee sucks the calcium out of your body? I miss coffee too but I remember that fact when I want to reach for a coffee. There are many good tasting herbal teas out there and I hope you find one soon.

Try Decaffe Roast Tea made by Yogi Teas. You can find it at Tealand.com

I thought I would miss coffee a lot more than I actually do. Turns out I LOVE peppermint tea. Just finding something else I really enjoy seems to have made the difference. Hubby and I call peppermint "happy tea"--in addition to being good for the digestive system, it really lifts my moods! (I'm generally optimistic by nature anyway, but I'm pretty sublime after drinking my peppermint).
... and I am not a person who likes other things with mint, such as mint chocolate chip ice cream, York peppermint patties, or starlight mints. In tea form, peppermint is just different... better.
I also like the Stash brand decaf chai tea... I make chai lattes with almond milk, delicious!

I like the Rocomojo better than the Teechino. Teechino was too bitter for me; Rocomojo tastes more like regular coffee. I've seen it at Wild Oats and Whole Foods.

Im not sure if you were asking me Jordy but anyway my favorite flavors are Decaf Vanilla Chai by Stash and Sugar Cookie Sleighride by Celestial Seasonings. Most brands of flavored Chai tea are a bit spicy from the cinnamon and black pepper they use. I drink peppermint/ginger/licorice tea at night after I feel a dinner might cause discomfort. I have been pretty much stable for 1 month even with eating some dairy and being a little bad. I take a probiotic before dinner and a peppermint/caraway oil cap (Regimint)3 times a day
