My constipation is mainly caused by diverticulosis. Since returning from Christmas visit with brother and family my bowels have been acting up. While away I could not follow a sort of diet except for fibre supplements.
While my sytems are slowly starting to move I am wondering about herbal teas or Tyelonel. At moment I have gree tea, chamoile as well as cranberry. What would you consider the best and do you take any painkillers at time. Aspirin is out for me.
Thanks

I don't know anything about diverticulosis, but I know that the tea that seems to help me most in terms of stomach conditions is the Celestial Seasonings ginger holiday tea-- forget what the name is. Ginger is a main ingredient, though, and it's great.

Chamomile has nice mild sedative properties which I have found to be great for easing mild pain, and for taking care of any lingering ache that the pain meds don't reach. I can take Tylenol without any digestive issues. I also will take Aleve, but only for the most severe pain as it's not as gentle on the stomach. Hope you feel better soon.
