I'm glad everyone did so well! Thanks to all of you and to Heathers mailer I did well also. I drank my Acacia before dinner and I ate turkey white meat, a few tsp. of mashed potatoes, one taste of dressing, 2 tsp. of sweet potatoes with all the trimmings (yumm), cranberry sauce (which I put on my turkey instead of gravy like heather suggested). I had a stomach ache the entire time I was eating and am wondering if that was from fear. The only problem I had was that I was C Thursday and Friday. So I went the opposite way I usually go. All is well now and that holiday is finally over. I swear all they did on t.v. was talk about food. Every program was cooking thanksgiving dinner. I'm glad its over.

I had a moderate attack of IBSD in the am!!!! Got control of it and pain free in 2 hours thanks to Librax and LOTS of fennel tea and my hot pad!!! My son helped me with the dishes we were to contribute and it worked out beautifully-had turkey and soluble fiber and fat free stuffing my mil made for me! I thought it was incredibly sweet. had a baked sweet potatoes later, and later after that had some more turkey and my specialstuffing! Did not overeat at all and had a good day! Maryh

Another thing that helps is to visualize how that particular food you're being tempted by will make you feel and whether or not it is worth it to you to be made sick by that food. Is it really worth ruining the holiday?

I was a little nervous too, but came out just fine, in fact it seems my eating thanksgiving dinner is what I needed to realize don't be afraud of everything you eat just eat right. I had Turkey, my own version of mashed potatoes and even made turkey gray. Glad everyone did ok.

It is so wonderful to hear how everyone is doing so well! Holidays are difficult. I was a bit nervous going into Thanksgiving but came out just fine. Made sure I had some soluble fiber in me before heading out for the in-laws and was able to enjoy a couple of bites of salads that had cream cheese in them. I also had a small piece of pecan pie! I am so thankful that I found Heather and everyone on this board. It sure has made my quality of life better.
I did do a big no-no last night but was able to come out of it quicker....I had two glasses of champagne I blew up like a balloon. I have cut out all carbonated drinks from my diet but couldn't resist it last night since my toddlers spent the night at mama/papa's. My hubby and I had an expensive bottle of champagne that we had been saving for over a year. It was wonderful but not worth the pain it caused. I ended up doing some yoga, which helped tremendously, then going to bed. Poor hubby...not much of a night without the children. Oh well.
One more Thanksgiving meal today...almost over!

I did fine. We had Thanksgiving at my my house, so I could make my own mash potatoes and yes I did eat a tablespoon of stuffing. The only thing I really missed out on was the pie, because I didn't bake pie.
