I have been blessed to not have to refer to the boards in quite some time. It is interesting to see how it has grown.

How have you been? There are so many new people since '04, I had to search to find you!

I have been stable, but you know how IBS is. I have flare ups from time to time. Thanks to Heather and all you guys on the board, I have learned to cope with them. Although I eat a diet high in soluble and Insouble fiber, I am getting ready to up my dosage of Acacia to 4 (cooking) tablespoons. I already take 3 tablesoons, and will be adding on a fourth starting at 1/4 tsp. I was taking FiberChoice until I learned abiut the INULIN; not good for my IBS-C.

I am so glad you are still on the boards, it's like coming home to a friend.

I will be checking the boards more frequently now that I have left my job at the University of California San Francisco and am looking for something closer to where I live. That alone is a stress reliever!!!! I was getting up at 4 am to arrive at work by 7am and getting home at 7 pm to start the procedure all over again. It became too stressful and my tummy was not going to continue dealing with such madness.

Take care Casey and thanks for all your good advice through the years. I look forward to receiving more.

Lene

Hi again!! It's funny - I saw your username on an earlier post and I was thinking... I know this person... hah! I'm sorry it took a minute to make the connection, but I've had a horrible past few months (my father passed away, bad finances, etc) and I swear it's made my brain turn to mush sometimes.

I'm SO glad you've been feeling good! Absolutely wonderful that you're in a situation where you can look for a job closer to home - it's amazing how the stress will wear you down and wreak havoc on your health.

I guess the boards really have grown, haven't they? It's funny to think I'm one of the old-timers now but I guess if the shoe fits... heh! There's still a couple of us floating around. I've taken a break here and there when things in my life got really nuts, but I almost feel like something's *wrong* if I stay away too long.

Anyway, good to see you!

Casey, I am so sorry to hear of your misfortune. Hang in there, you will get back on track. I will be praying for you; you deserve something good to come to you and I believe it will.

You are so kind and helful to others, I am sure the karma will be returned.

Everything will change for you in the new year. I predict extremely good things coming to you.

I will never forget how you were so kind and helpful to me during my first year of IBS-C. People like you are special and very few of you are in this world.

Take care and you will always be in my thoughts.

Love
Lene
