i went to my doctor the other day and asked her about Donnatal, Levsin, Levbid, Nulev, Bentyl, & Pro-Banthine.
she told me that they're Over-the-Counter Drugs.
i found this hard to believe..anyways i live and canada and went to the grocery store pharmacy to see if i could find them and i had no luck.
are they OTC drugs?

No, I believe all of these are prescription meds... at least in the U.S. You could check with a pharmacist there in Canada... they would know for sure.

They are all only available with a prescription. That's weird your doctor didn't know, unless I'm wrong. I second asking a pharmacist, and if they do require a prescription, maybe have the pharmacist give you more details to bring to your doctor.

one of th emain issues between canada and the US for drugs is that they often have different names in each country, for example, almost everyone has heard of lexapro, one of the newer AD's, however in canada it is called cipralex, now luckily my doc knew what i was talking about when i mentioned lexapro and told me about the name difference thing in canada, so the drugs you mentioned to your doc may be called different things here, however there is no good excuse for telling you that they are OTC drugs. Yeah i would see a GI

Here's a List of anti-spasmodics if you're interested. It shows what names they go by in Canada or in US.
