Peppermint and gas

I'm trying to rule out things that cause some of my symptoms, which seems to be gas. Does peppermint, specifically altoids, bother anyone by increasing the little gas bubbles that move through you're stomach

I've always found that peppermint alleviates gas. Although sometimes, it seems to do this by hastening the bubbles' exit. 
It's possible that the other ingredients in Altoids are what's bothering you. They recently added artificial flavoring.

Carol thanks for the altoid info. I love altoids for my gassy stomach, yuk. About the tea though it does relieve my gas and doesn't seem to bother my gerd. But my best gas buster is fennel, hands down. I've run out so I've been using mostly peppermint and I like it fine but can't wait until my fennel arrives.

I buy the loose fennel because it's cheaper and yes, I buy it from this website. Try it, you'll like it. Maybe, fennel is not EVERYONE'S favorite. You should like licorice, that's the flavor. I crush mine in an unused garlic press before I steep it.
