I went to my primary care doc Internal Med specialist yesterday.
I told him about my visit last week with the GI specialist and the "It's IBS, only IBS and you can spend all sorts of money tests and its IBS and "ONLY an AGGRAVATION". And about my nausea and upper GI discomfort.
After we get parasite result from GI doc this week,
he scheduled an abdominal CAT scan, then after that result is in, an Upper GI study (X-Ray) observing the movement of the bariun through my small intestine.
I told him I cannot survive w/o Nexium, and he thinks its OK that I want to try no antidepressants since all my major stressors have grown up and are on their own financially. I still have antianxiety clonazepram.

I feel like he will find out if there are other issues and he treated me with respect and dignity. After all his tests, if I need a GI specialist I'll find one.
Thanks,
G

That barium is a trigger for me. When I had my cat scan done, they had to stop 3 times so I can go "D" in the bathroom. It was horrible.

I'm glad you've found a doc who will listen to you and do the tests you need. Good luck with all of them. I've done barium a couple of times - it's not fun but I managed to get through it without having to dash down the hallway. Just be sure to drink lots and lots of liquid afterward to wash it all out.

This cracked me up.
