I took this from a post. Rather than bump one of mine down i'm going to quote some text. "Consumer Reports did a study on probiotics in July 2005. The whole article is only available to subscribers, but here's the summary: web page. The library should have the back issue." http://www.consumerreports.org/cro/food/health-benefits-of-probiotics-705/index.htm Does anyone know how Flora-Q rates or does anyone have this issue or access to consumer reports? Could you print info for the rest of us please?

Flora-Q was not listed in the report. The report cannot be copied and display on this message board because it would violate copyright. It is not a very good report.

It wasn't rated at all.
Oh - please stop bumping messages you have posted. You will get some answers eventually. Thanks

i personally like probitics with more than 4 strains, specifically all the base ones plus planatarum and salivarus, but that is just my opinion, i take primal defense, but have also had good results with new-chapters all-flora, but primal doesn't need refirgeration which makes my taking the 3 doses a day easier as i can carry it around with me.

Yes, I agree...it has alot of strains that are at a level to actually benefit the digestive tract. The fact that it doesn't need to be in the fridge was an added bonus. It's not cheap, but I have found you get what you pay for.

I used to use Jarrow. My MD said it was one of the best. I think I will go back on them because my IBS D is flaring up again. It has many strains and no refridgeration needed.
