Anyone try the Probotics VSL#3

I was on an antib. in August that really messed up my stomach and made my IBS-C the worst it's ever been. I finally skipped my regular doctor after leaving there with no answers and saw a Gastro doctor who was great. He explained the type of antib. I took only stays in your gut so it killed all my good and bad flora. He gave me samples of a Probotic called VSL#3. I started it last night and would love to hear from anyone with IBS-C and your experiences on it? Thanks!

If you search the message board you will find some discussion about VSL#3 . It is quite pricey. It is being used in a number of clinical trials.

Thanks for the link. I'll search on here as well. So far it's only day one and I'm not that impressed, but maybe it takes times.

The little bit of the research literature that I have read suggests it takes weeks before an improvement is noticed

I think almost all probiotics are like that. The probiotics need time to colonize and re-establish in your gut.
