I cannot find them on the shelf here recently in Phoenix, so I bought "Guiltless Gourmet". Did you notice-they came out with some new ones that are called "Natural" and are shelved in the natural foods section-but they are still fried! GRR! Gotta read those labels!

I was wondering if I was the only IBS person in Orlando :-( What part of Orlando are you at? I'm in east Orlando. Do you know of any IBS support group in the Orlando area? I would love to be a part of one.
Are you IBS C,D or A? I'm IBS-C.
You can email me if you like.
Blessings, Abi

I checked the website...they still have them on there and no word about them not beign available. I have not bought any for awhile, but I will look next time I'm at the store.
I talked to a store manager of a major grocery store chain not long ago about them. He said it was one of those things that was regionally carried...that the company did studies on how much was selling where. If it wasn't a good seller in a region then no matter how often a manager tried to order them they wouldn't be available in certain areas. My home is one of those areas so I search for alternatives in the HFS.

I was told that there is NO change to them other then the shape!!

I just called Frito Lay (the makers of Baked Tostitos)... and asked if they would be changing in Canada as well..... I got a voice mail and left a message, I will let you all know when I hear back.
Quote:
Strange, because here in Canada they haven't changed at all and never disappeared from the shelves. Is this in the plans for the near future, does anyone know?

Ok, I just got a call back... and at this time there is NO plan to change the shape in Canada to the scoops, but if you see them off the shelves you will know what is happening.

"I was told that there is NO change to them other then the shape!!"
Shell, you were told wrong. The ingred. in regular Baked Tostitos were just: corn, salt.
The Baked Scoops have some oil and another ingreg. added to them.
I'm more than a little peeved.
