Just wondering what others have found to the amount they stopped increasing. Anyone who is C and takes Acacia, please share what dose you are happy with.

Thanks.

Oh, do you take flax or Miralax with it?

How much liquid do you drink in a day to prevent the SFS from constipating you even more?

I'm C and I just started taking Acacia again.

I started Friday evening with 1/2 teaspoon and will increase this Friday night.

Hopefully someone else can answer your question.

I appreciate your response. I know there are some C's who are done increasing. Hope to hear from some!

How much water are you drinking?

Hi Jordy,
I was originally stable at 3/4 tsp twice a day for a total of 1 and 1/2 tsp a day. However, after my latest flare-up I've increased to 1 tsp. twice a day (2 tsps. a day total) and that seems to be working for me right now.
HTH,
Cindi

Water (and any liquid) has always been an issue for me. I don't want to say it's a trigger, but when I drink it I get bloated and uncomfortable. I have to force it down. I'm trying to get in at least 1 liter of straight water per day (32 oz). I also drink at least a couple of cups of tea, which is what I put my acacia in.

I take 2 heaping tablespoons a day - that seems to keep the cramping and bloating at a minimum. I drink herbal tea all day long and try to have a glass of water or two at night.

The acacia did not resolve my C, but it eased up the cramping and allowed me to eat the IF (fruits and vegetables) I need to resolve my C.

Thank you for your feedback. It didn't take you much SFS to reach your stability. Maybe more isn't always better.

I thought acacia would help the C. I seem to be getting more C as I increase the Acacia. Maybe I'm not be eating enough IF.

Do you basically eat IF foods and use the Acacia as your SF buffer instead of eating the white rice and breads?

Thank you AstroChick.
