I just printed out Heather's food menu, so much help to me, I am so grateful for that, thank you,Heather. I see that you can have Mrs. Pauls sweet potatoes. What about baking your own? I also read (on another website) that potoatoes can produce gas - is this true? The other thing I would like to know about is Salads? Should one with IBS be eating them?

Salads, potatoes, sweet potatoes, and other vegetables are needed in your diet. You just have to find the greens, and veggies and quantity that is right for you. For example your tummy might do better with regular leaf lettuce than with romaine or iceberg. Corn might give you gas, but greenbeans are fine. Plus you should start with a small serving of 1 kind of vegetable, then try different ones, and gradually increase the quantity to a safe amount for yourself. The thing with IBS is that everyone is different and you have to find what you can eat by trial and error.
