Yesterday I had to go bad, i was feeling really uncomfortable, i sat and switched positions often in a hot bath for an hour. I lifted weights yesterday, working out is new to me,so that should be effective right now? I took peppermint caps, i took my fiber, i ate right, after all that i still feel really uncomfortable. Its been over 4 days since i even went a little, when i do go its like 2 or 3 little stools, its been like 2 weeks or so since i had an ok one. I really need help, I even took my prescription Chlordiaz, and still haven't went.

I am not sure if this is much help but have you tried ground flax seed - mix a tbsp in with some water and drink it . Make sure you drink lots of water after it during the day - as always. I also take some at night with my SF meal when I can tell something is starting. IBS-C
Also some people have posted info of something called Natural Calm

If you REALLY want to GO, take Milk of Magnesia. You shouldn't take it daily, but once in awhile, it can really get things moving. I typically take 3 tablespoons at night (with a big glass of water) and feel much better in the morning. I would also recommend using Natural calm on a daily basis.

My mom has IBS (-A) and she recently started excercising. It gave her horrible C. She worked through it-- I administered Citrucel to her, 2 pills every 8 hours for 2 days and she finally went. It's hard at first when you can't go. She was getting the nauseus sensation too when she ate (food had nowhere to go but UP).

Drink plenty of hot fluids. I recommend plain tap water heated in the microwave for 50 seconds. Good luck and {{{HUGS}}}!

Hi. I have had times where I have went extreme periods without going. For me it gets to a point where nothing helps and making changes at that time in diet makes it worse. If you go for too long I would call your doc they may want to give you an enema etc or to see if something else is going on. After this or if you "go" trying to make diet changes to see what would help. Feel better I know its the worst.
