Please help- what gives you the worst gas? I know this is an individual thing- but sometimes i think that aside from no wheat, dairy, meat, soy, etc. etc.- there might be somethings I could learn from other people's list! Please reply thanks so much

Dairy is the absolute worst, followed by overeating or eating too fast. Also, I can't even look at a bowl of granola for some reason. Nuts, some whole grains like wheat berries (but not brown rice) and even too much hummus also give me bad problems.

Do peeled apples give other people problems? I wouldn't have thought of apples as a gassy food.
For me, the only one I know for sure is beans. I don't dare try brocolli or cauliflower or brussel sprouts, though. Those probably would.

What is it about ground peanuts that cause gas...do you know?
Maybe you wouldn't get gas from alternative butters...almond or cashew butter? Just a thought!

peanut butter is iffy for me, all other nuts and nut butters are fine, but then again peanuts aren't actually nuts. Apples of any kind, peeled, mashed, etc give me gas and bloat. Broccoli, cauliflower and beans are fine for me

OVER EATING??????
now I never would have thought but that may be the problem that I am having with gas????? Since it has been over 7 yrs since I have been able to eat at all, I feel sometimes like I am eating to make up for the years of having nothing because my internal organs were not getting the things they needed to work properly.
That is one thing that I will watch from now on,

Apples gives me gas if I eat them raw (peeled apples) and especially if I eat them on the wrong occasion and together with the wrong things.
I use to peel, cut them into small pieces and cook them. They are also more tolerable in applepies and other baked things where apples are included. A lot of people I know complains about that apples cause gas even they who are not diagnosed with IBS, people with pollen allergy are often sensititive to apples and carrots. My husband (no IBS) has pollen allergy and get D and breathing problem (in the nose) of them. / Eri

Have you seen this:
http://beanogas.com/BeanoFoods.aspx
Beano is a supplement that will prevent gas from appearing (it does work) and here are the foods it acts against. I think they are mostly foods that cause gass pretty universally...
Btw, there is also bean-zyme which is less expensive than beano, I haven't tried it, but it seems to have the same active component in the same amount so it probably works too.
