Am I the only one who has problems with cooked carrots? It has to be something else, right?

I have been having worse symptoms and I've been eating more carrots.....could this possibly be a problem food for me?? I hope not.

Are you eating other SF with the carrots?

I can't eat any veggies. I tried juicing carrots last week. Seems to be easier but it's hit or miss too.

What kind of "problems" do carrots create for you? Are you eating carrots in conjunction with other foods or alone? Could the time of day be a factor? Do you peel your carrots? Are they organic?

Just wondering. I eat carrots like a rabbit and they make me poop like a horse! Even on a very bad day I can consume cooked carrots without a problem.

I eat cooked, peeled, pureed, organic carrots....usually for lunch and after the SFS.

The symptoms that are getting worse are constipation and extreme, sharp cramping and pain.

Plus, I read several medical websites that say to eat cooked carrots if you are D! Which I definitely am not!

Usually, I rely on my SFS for my cusion. And/Or eat them with quinoa, which is SF.

I can drink and eat soluble fiber all day long and eating a carrot will tear me up! So much of triggers are individual-based.

Are you eating enough IF?

I find that carrots add a good shot of bulk to my diet as well as absorbing excess fluid in my intestines. Also, they're not gassy. They give me a healthy "clean-out" and very large bm's. They're soothing even on really crampy/spazzing days.

Maybe you need more variety in vegetables and IF if you're C?

Kate, IBS-D.

Carrots are one of the few vegetables I can eat. I do cook them. Green beans, peas and an occasional red/green pepper are ok for me too. Forget corn, broccoli, lettuce, artichokes, eggplants!
