Hey Wind,
I haven't seen you around lately. Just wanted to see if you are doing okay. I love reading your posts and miss your humour!

Howdy!

I still pop in from time to time. Isn't it interesting how board dynamics shift/shuffle? Ironically, I was thinking of you as I grabbed a bowl of carrots for a snack. I've discovered that beets are pretty good, too! Ditto for leftover squash from dinner. It's funny how some foods taste better cold! How's life?

Okay, now an embarrassing confession about those carrots. I tend to eat nearly five pounds of them/week! I promise you that I am not orange, yet, and yes, we all know that I can be a little weird (oops, eccentric)...on bad IBS days, I tend to eat more carrots. I had to laugh after my colonoscopy last week...in my warped state of mind all I could think about was making carrot-ginger soup for lunch the previous day when I had to fast.

Kate, IBS-D.

Oh good, I am glad you are still out there. Just taking attendance
I am still hooked on the carrots too but I only go through 2 of the small bags of baby carrotsa week. You are much more of a veggie eater than I am though if I remember correctly. I love chicken breast and the rice and carbs that hurt you too much.
Beets mmm I used to love my grandma's pickled beets, I'll have to try those again sometime. I am also a HUGE squash fan but I prefer it "thanksgiving style" mashed with some brown sugar.
I had a colonoscopy/endoscopy yesturday. It was my first time for both procedures. The memory loss is what is baffling me. I am in quite a bit of pain today and can't keep any food in. I thought I was okay and went to the grocery store, that was the closest I have ever come to an "accident" outside of sneezing while on my prep on Wed.
The days before my prep I ate Imagine brand Creamy chicken soup, which tasted more like creamy potato soup to me. it is really good! No msg and no dairy!
Anyway, glad to hear back from you. Did you get any results from your scope?
Don't be a stranger!
