I used 1 tsp fennel and 1 tsp jasmine leaves and it helped the taste considerably. They blended fairly well ... except next time I'll try half teaspoon of each - it was quite strong for a mug.

You just reminded me about my jasmine. I completely forgot about it, and now I'm wondering where the heck I put it! LOL It's gotta be in the cupboard somewhere!
I always have a pot of the peppermint/fennel mix going. I've been able to bump up the amount of fennel. I think I've build up a tolerance to the taste!

Mags, dearest, you are a tough woman to build up a tolerance to fennel. I practically have to gag it down with my nose plugged. I'm just so happy the jasmine hides most of the taste.

I know. I'm a little surpised myself! LOL But, I do drink about a pot minimum a day, so I go through quite a bit. I think that's what did it.
