I was told to use SMART START LITE for my butter. Does anyone know of anything better to use? I know there are a lot of different ones out there and I want to make sure I get the one with the lowest fat.

I haven't checked the fat content, but I use Land O'Lakes Buttery Spread. It hasn't bothered me so far, & I've been using it for over a month. I'm not sure if it will be ok for you though. We're all different & have different tolerances. Hope you find something that works!

Marilla--who manufactures that product? I googled it, but came up empty. (On the 2nd try, I came up with a "Smart Beat" and a "Smart Balance," but those may not be the same thing.)

IBS-A for 20 years with terrible bloating and gas. On the diet since April 2004. Remember this from Heather's information pages:
"You absolutely must eat insoluble fiber foods, and as much as safely possible, but within the IBS dietary guidelines. Treat insoluble fiber foods with suitable caution, and you'll be able to enjoy a wide variety of them, in very healthy quantities, without problem." Please eat IF foods!

Unfortunately this product contains palm and soybean oil both of which are no-nos for me. Good luck

Hi Syl, Thanks so much for the product information on Smart Balance. This is really nice to have. How did you get into this website? Can this be done for any food product??

There's also "I can't believe it's not butter" fat-free spread, which tastes the same to me. I'm not sure if it has dairy or not, though. This is the only one I can tolerate.
