Hi!
I'm new to board. My name is Leila and I'm 22 years old and live in Australia. I have had symptoms of IBS-A for a while now, not even knowing what it was. I also have a stomach ulcer and last year had my gallbladder removed so I thought that it would all be over and it was just symptoms of those things. Unfortunately it didn't go away and was just recently diagnosed with IBS. However, what I find odd is that I wasn't given much to any advice on this topic, just simply told not to eat the foods that trigger it (well der!). So I went searching on the net and came across you lovely people here. So thats me, glad to meet you all.

Hi, and welcome. I have a good friend living here that moved from Australia about 4 years ago. Hang in there. There's always some good advice posted here, it's just slow on the weekends.

Sadly, many other people find the boards after being told the same thing by their doctors. You've found a good place and I reccomend picking up Heather's books and Acacia fiber first thing. Welcome to the boards.
