Do any of you have problems with these two? It's hard to make delicious recipes without them. Is this common to not be able to eat them?

I'm starting to think that I can't eat them either
I grew up with great Italian cooking and this is devastating! I seem to be ok with a small amount of either, but I just can't take a large amount of either, no matter how well cooked.
I have found that making sure I have enough peppermint in my system really helps, though. ARe you taking the peppermint caps or drinking peppermint tea? I wonder if that would help....
I feel your pain, though. Good luck coming up with recipes that taste good! (I'll let you know if I think of any!)

Raw garlic on a salad was always good for a purge (lately), back when I had control over things mostly. I used to could have raw garlic with just the gas.
Onions always been good for making me gassy, like a lot of things, lol ...

First the subs: For onion you can try using McCormick's Onion Juice. Most grocery stores carry it in the spice aisle. For garlic you can try using garlic salt (I prefer it over garlic powder, the salt has more flavor to it).
How are you eating onion and garlic? Have you tried steaming, broiling, sauteeing, or grilling? When you eat them, what else are you having. Are you having them with a good SF base? All these things will effect how you digest them.

I grew up on Italian food too! Sure do miss that homemade spaghetti sauce but with meat, oil, garlic and onions in it, I have to stay away from it.

It doesn't matter how they are prepared, if I eat them I get sick. Real sick. I hardly have any seasoning on my food. Maybe some pepper, a little salt (trying to stay away from it). That's about it. Bland, Bland, Bland..
