i found this dairy free chocolate bar in Asda and could do with somebody letting me know if its safe or not as i am new to this IBS diet, i am doing really well on it and so dont want to have a set back!
ingrediants are:
raw sugar
cocoa mass
cocoa butter
soya flour
emulsifier - sunflower lecithin
flavouring - orange oil.
i am really missing my "treats" and am struggling to find the ones that are listed as safe!
thanks
julie

The ingredients seem safe to me, but do check the fat content. I know that the official safe guideline is no more than 25% calories from fat, but honestly, I stay clear of anything that's more than 6 or 7g per serving - it's just too risky.

well i didnt really enjoy it
it tastes like dark chocolate and i dont like dark chocolate
it is quite high fat so i was only going to have a couple of squares anyway but i have give it my daughter as she is allergic to milk!
if you do like dark chocolate its made by Plamil and can be found with all the gluten and dairy free products in asda (they also do a plain varity)

Ok bear in mind that choccie has a high fat content so beware of your own limitations, but as a former chocoholic who had to find a dairy free substitute, the best chocolate I've had is Waitrose plain chocolate, its seriously yummy, its kinda creamy like milk chocolate and its not bitter, its THE BEST!!!! and its dairy free, but ladies be careful its kinda addictive. hope that helps x x
