I searched but didn't find anything.... just wondering if anyone had tried naprapathic (different than naturopathic) or chiropractic care and if anyone has had any good results. Since both focus on connective tissues & there seems to be a strong neurological connection w/IBS... I thought it was worth asking/exploring!

I started chiropractic not too long ago and I'm hoping it will help some. My chiropractic doctor said when he was a teen he had ulcerative colitis and after a year of receiving chiropratic treatments, it went away and he doesn't take any medications for it today.

Hey,
Three (4?) years ago when IBS first manifested itself as pain/burning after meals, I also started chiropractic care to treat substantial backpain.
My chiro x-ray'd my spine, and was able to nail all of my health issues just by looking to see where the misalignments were - including the stomach/GI issues. He said that the area in my back that was the worst is also the area that nerves leading to the stomach & intestinal track go through.
I starte chiro care, and after about 4 months (I think), I not only didn't have constant back pain, my stomach pain & issues also disappeared.
This doesn't mean that if you pursue chiro care, the IBS won't ever come back (if it disappears), but you're definitely not going to do more harm if you pursue it. It's better than popping pills. And if nothing else, can help your overall health regardless. =)
