I am 22 weeks pregnant and am starting to feel quite tired. I have a gut feeling that my iron is low and that I'll need to take some sort of supplement. I have heard that they cause constipation and are difficult on your stomach. Something of which is not good for someone who already suffers from IBS!!
Can anyone suggest: 1) a iron enriched diet that I might be able to eat 2) a "safe" supplement that won't aggravate my IBS
Any suggestions are much appreciated!

Since you are pregnant, I think it would be best for you to talk to your doctor. Although iron might be good for you, it might have an adverse affect on the baby.
*Edit - I'm talking about iron supplements.

This site has tons of ideas: www.whfoods.com/genpage.php?tname=nutrient&dbid=70
Can you perhaps add some backstrap molasses to anything? Certain herbs/spices add a good dose of iron. Lately, I've been enjoying quinoa which is iron-rich and a source of SF. Potatoes provide a great dose of non-heme iron.
Also, many fortified cereals are a great source of iron, especially oatmeal and cream of wheat. Soy is very high in iron.
Be sure to include lots of vitamin C rich foods to assist in iron-absorption.
Kate, IBS-D.
