I've found that eating bread has helped me put on some weight. 100 calories a slice is quite a bit. The problem with bread is that they're empty calories. There isn't much good nutrition in bread.

Elysa, I agree with you, every where I go and read tells me to eat lots of bran for C, but I never did until today. I had some bran this morning with my cereal and I feel ok so far. I will keep you posted. It's so confusing...right?
Blessings, Abi

My temporary gastroparesis diet: Right now, I've stopped all high fiber foods (like bran and wheat bread) and I eat ground up vegetables and fruits, instead of them whole. Because of this, I'm seeing if baby food helps, because it's liquid and it still has fiber. Instead of wheat bread (I ate the sprouted kind before) right now, I'm also trying sourdough, which is actually really good! To help me "go", I'm on FiberCon (no side effects!), which is IF.
