Help- how to conquer gas

Other than fennel tea, no dairy, no wheat- no brocollai- what other things should one avoid so you don't get gas? Do nerves ( cause gas) play a part w/ gas. It doesn't seem possible to me.

Hi pieta63. Gas and bloating are two of my worst symptoms right now. Nerves definately give me an extra amount of gas on top of the usual amount! My other triggers for gas are carbonated beverages of any kind, broccoli, and raw vegetables.
I drink a good strong cup of fennel tea 2 or 3 times a day. That quiets the gas pretty quickly for me. Right now with warmer weather arriving here, I'm experimenting with iced fennel tea. Ice cold drinks don't seem to be a trigger for the diarrhea I usually experience.
I just make substitutions for the things that cause trouble-cook my vegies, eat salads in small anounts as much as I can, and water with a twist of lemon is my favorite drink.

Im having bad bloating and smothery feeling, which is caused by the bloating which causes anxiety because my biggest fear is not being able to breathe..so it becomes a viscious cycle
