5-HTP and ibs updates?

I read the previous posts about using 5-htp for ibs and was wondering if anyone had any updates on their successes or failures with it? I used to be on zoloft and it worked relatively well, have been off zoloft for a year and have made great improvements with diet and supplements but feel my body truly needs the extra serotonin availability, so i will be starting 5-htp in enteric coated from to minimize stomach discomfort, anyone have any advice or comments on the subject?

It was suggested to me for fibro ~ I hadn't heard about it for IBS. I would be interested to hear how it goes for you. Good luck with it.

BTW ~ I am curious as to why (if things are going well) you would want to risk adding something new. Are you having some symptom that is still troubling you ~ though it's small?
