On top of suffering from IBS, I also get a lot of migraine headaches. These headaches can vary in severity, things that trigger them, and things that once I have it make it worse.

When I get a super migraine (this one is now heading into day 5) the one sure thing that makes it worse is smell. So that being said I don't want food ... I don't want to cook it, see it, etc etc.

Here's the dilemma ... (1)if I don't eat then my blood glucose levels drop and then I feel worse (2)when I am not getting in enough soluble fibre and safe insoluble fibre my IBS acts up and I get cramps and D can turn into C.

Does anyone have suggestions about safe foods I can try? Or does anyone have advice on dealing with the migraines that lead to my food issues?

Thank You for Your Input!

Hi there

I was having mad migraines and went to the health food shop to find a natural remedy and was told that most migraines are triggered by wheat. I cut it out for a while, no migraine. Then suddenly had a wheat overload day and had the worst one ever and that's when I believed what he said.

I've tried to keep away from wheat ever since and have not had a migraine since October (just one nasty headache around period time.)

I also found that when I did eat small amounts of wheat I didn't get a migraine but did get D. I now consider wheat and artificial sweetners as my two main food triggers for IBS.

At the time I didn't know I had IBS but now have 2 reasons to cut it out of my diet.
