I just had a colonoscopy on Monday morning (yay fleet soda -- urk! )

The doctor found a really severe turn in the colon (they had to take out the scope and use a tiny infant one to get through) and also some "friable" regions which she is doing biopsies of. Anybody have results like this or know what this means?

Ooh I am scheduled for one on Monday and know from a past sigmoidoscopy that I have a lot of sharp turns in my colon. I will have to make sure to mention this so maybe I can get an infant scope too. Sounds a lot less uncomfortable.

Sorry I can't help you with what "friable" means. Hopefully someone else can.

Yes I would definitely tell them beforehand cuz they didn't realize until the big one couldn't get through that they had to use the little one.

There was really no discomfort at the time, though. They had me nice and toasted on sedatives so I slept through the whole thing.
