Does anyone have a good cheese alternative that really tastes like cheese and is low in fat? I've tried all of these different soy cheese brands and I don't really like them. Any suggestions?

I love love love Lisanatti Soy Station cheddar. They also make a rice cheese that's edible, but the soy version melts better. I've found it at Whole Foods. Great stuff.

Some folks like the Soya Kaas stuff, but I've not had the chance to try it.

I agree about the Lisannetti's however I have a hard time getting around me. I asked my local Kroger and the manager has yet to call me about it. I would have to drive to Ann Arbor to find a Trader Joe's or Whole foods. I can't believe that Toldeo doesn't have either one of these stores!

I have a hard time finding it too. The nearest Whole Foods to me are in the Chicago 'burbs & up in Madison, WI. I live about 70 miles from either.

We go up to Madison every so often anyway, and I usually stock up at their Whole Foods. Yep, I "import" fake cheese from Wisconsin, the "Dairy State."

I tried a couple in my area -- and got sick anyway. I tried a couple other products that claimed to be "dairy free" but it turned out they had casein in them. I'm on of the few that can't handle it. I know it helps the cheese melt better... just wondering if anyone has found a good one by chance.

I recently discovered the Soya Kaas fat free cheddar... now, I haven't have cheese in about 3 years, this still looks/tastes/melts likes real cheese as best as I can remember. Its fat free which a plus!! I actually made myself a grilled cheese sandwich last weekend... it was such a treat

I like both Soya Kaas and Lisanetti. And I love Heather's tuna melt!
