Apple cider vinegar... update anyone?

I just heard about apple cider vinegar and did a search on the forums... it seems like some people (augie, amanda?) said they were about to try it to see if it helped anything. I was wondering if it did. I went to a lecture at a nearby co-op and the lady was gung-ho about her apple cider vinegar. I'm curious now!!

Does anyone know if apple cider vinegar is an IBS trigger? It does sound like it could be a big help to IBS.

Don't know if its a triger. Read about it helping with GERD to. If you try it, they recomend organic unfiltered apple cider vinegar. Just shake up the bottle before using.

That post just made me laugh out loud! You said you "went to a lecture at a co-op" - over here in England 'Co-Op' is a supermarket brand, they have thousands of small to medium sized grocery shops. I actually had to do a double take and figure out what you meant! (Imagine reading "I went to Wal*Mart for a lecture..." and you'll see what I mean...!!  )
Yay for my first laugh of the day! I love all these American'isms and British'isms.
Know nothing about apple cider vinegar though...

I know that it helps with weight loss, but I don't know how it would affect IBS.

I know a friend who uses it who is allergic to gluten/yeast. She swears by it and it seems to work really well for her digestive symptoms, so maybe it would help with ours too? I've thought about trying it but never really got around to it... She just mixes a little with a glass of water, probably not that tasty but hey.

Haha, I had a friend in college from england who was in crew/rowing with me... it was hilariouis in the locker room when someone was looking for their pants, and she gave them an awful look... who could misplace their "pants"!?
Funny thing though, is that it IS a grocery store... and you have to go through the back stairs to get to the classrooms. It confused me too and I'm from the us
