Ok, reading that subject post back it's somewhat confusing...
What I'm actually asking is something which only occurred to me today - many times in Eating for IBS and The First Year: IBS "plain bagels" are mentioned and reccommended. And so I have been eating them religiously, and found they've really helped (though now I'm supposed to be gluten-free and need to find a replacement, but that's beside the point). However, the question is, does 'plain bagel' mean plain bagels (as in not cinnamon or sultana bagels), or bagels with no spread or topping??
Yes I'm a dumbass but I'm blonde so it's definitely allowed!!

My interpretation of that was "plain" not whole wheat, egg or flavored bagels. I found a store brand "Winn Dixie" that doesn't have HFCS in them. I put all fruit spread on mine all the time.

he, he...I always thought it meant nothing on it...especially butter. but I'm guessing if you put something on it and it doesn't but you...
