I'm just curious? I consider the worst symptom to be the bloat... followed by fatigue. What about you?

is the worst, and also fatique. I find it quite difficult to truly enjoy life with both of these symptoms. The fatique is bad for me, I always feel like I'm in a dream-like or mindless state. One time I came home from a friend's house and slept for 15 hours straight! The bloating just makes me feel utterly horrible about myself, and it's also very difficult to completely control.

Diarrhea by far! I do have the fatigue as well, but I'm also anemic and not sure which is causing it and don't understand how the IBS would cause it. My fatigue IS bad, definitely, but the D is worse b/c of the bad situations it creates.

The spasms can be just horrible .. but the wave of pain/nausea that come over me at the height of an episode is just excruiciating for me.

gee tough question, that is like asking which food I miss the most? how do you pick just one? I guess I would have to say spasms and pain or trapped gas

TRAPPED GAS by far (and the accompanying oh-so-attractive bloat). When people ask me to describe my IBS to them, I say it's like my ascending colon (where all my cramps are) is being squeezed in a vice, and someone has blown up some balloons in my gut behind that vice.
-------------------- IBS-C, lots of spasm and trapped gas.

OMG... I describe it almost the same. There really is NO way to explain to people how excruciating the bloat is!
