It's a soup resturaunt. My BF & I went there last night. They have a great selection. Who ever came up with it did a great job! They mark all there soups, S,DF,LF,V. S-spicey, DF-Dairy Free, LF-Low Fat, V-Vegetarian. I had the Turkey Chilli. Not bad! & They serve it with sourdough, French, or Multi-grain bread! This is soooooo IBS friendly, I wonder if the person who came up with it had IBS. You can go to zoup.com for more info. I highly recomend it!

No, we don't have Zoup in Washington.. but we have Zoopa (Tukwilla, WA) and California & Texas have Fresh Choice

Anyhow, it looks like Grand Rapids is getting two Zoups this summer. From Zoup's website:

Zoup! Kentwood – owned by Roger and Sheila Christensen of Rockford – will occupy 2,295 square feet in Kentwood's Southridge Center at 2950 28th St. (between Radcliff and Breton, one block west of Woodland Mall). The store will have 45 seats with additional seating outdoors.
The Alpine-Comstock Park location at 3770 Alpine Ave. (north of Four Mile Rd.) is owned by Brent and Robin Garrison of Spring Lake. This restaurant will have 75 seats indoors, and a patio that will seat 16 to 24 people. It also will feature a unique, pick-up-only, drive-through window where customers can claim orders they place by telephone or using Zoup!'s online ordering and payment system.

Hmmm, the Alpine one is the one I go to. I was there last year when I was pregnant. It's about 25 mins from my house, so it's not a trip I make regularly. I'll have to check out that Kentwood location; closer to me.

Hi Amie, Say, would you and other lower Michigan people be
interested in a midwest regional get together at the Indiana
Dunes State Park? AC, Snorkie and I are in the process of
trying to organize one. My task right now is to contact the
Michigan people and see if they will come. In terms of dates,
we're thinking about June 9 or 10 right now. If you are inter-
ested, defintely bring some gliders with you, I think every
-body would love to see them, I know I would. -Bob

I probably wouldn't attend. :0( I have a nine-month old and retured to work full time about a month and a half ago, so I'm sticking close to home these days. Sounds like a fun idea, though.

What do y'all do? Sure...I'm definitely interested. I'll have to wait till closer to let you know. I just bought a house and we may be closing that week. If so, I'll be in a rush to move. But yeah..that would be fun to meet everyone.

Hi Flipada, What do we all do? I suppose you mean what are we
planning for the event? It's going to be an outdoor(obviously)
picnic type deal. Once we get an idea of whose all coming,then
we will divey out food assingments. One thing I have decided,
I'm definitely going to bring swordfish steaks from Whole Food
s to barbeque. We may even make all the barbeque IBS safe sea-
food. I still have to discuss this with AC and Snorkie.This
is also meant to be a bring your family type deal, even
pets. I'm pretty sure they're allowed in the park. If you
know any other lower mich board member that you can call or
email, please do let them know and notify us. Thanks for
expressing your interest to come, things are starting to

Cool. Sounds like fun. I want to go but hoping that the house thing goes through too! We bought the house but contingent on the sale of ours...up to June 10. A couple came by yesterday (we've had our house up since Mon) and they're coming back today sometime...I think. Keep your fingers crossed for me!
