Can I take MORE than 3 a day??

I would try to stick to 3. With that said, I have been known to swallow all 3 at a time (often). I don't see there would really be a harm in a couple more - just not on a regular basis.
Alternately, and a much better option I think, would be to drink lots of tea. Strong hot peppermint tea - several cups a day I find will do just as well - and give faster relief. You can even throw in a few fennel seeds and a touch of ginger if you want the full effect of the caps. Or, you can alternate different kinds of tea throughout the day.

Too much of a good thing can be bad.
Large amounts of peppermint oil can cause heartburn and digestive upset, injesting 1 teaspoon (2 grams) of pure menthol can be fatal, and menthol is a major ingregient in peppermint oil. Also pregnent women should not take large doses of peppermint oil can relax the uterus before it's time to go into labour.
